Procedures

Selecting a particular pipeline on IMPReSS displays all the procedures included in that pipeline, for example see the IMPC pipeline procedures. The procedures are grouped based on the timing of the test. These are either defined as embryonic days for the embryo procedures or in weeks for the in vivo and terminal procedures. Some procedures are defined as unrestricted where the procedure is not bound to a specified week, for example body weights are recorded regularly for the duration of the animal’s life. Procedures can be either general IMPC procedures or centre-specific.

For each procedure there is a brief description on how the procedure should be performed and a list of all the parameters that can be collected as part of that procedure. Most of the procedures are mandatory, meaning that each centre is expected to submit data to those procedures. Some procedures are optional and when the data is available, centres will submit to these as well.
